For those who don’t know us yet, we’d like to introduce ourselves:
Our family has been established in Kamilari for several generations and today we are still living and working in the village. Originally, our parents were farmers and owned a mill. Hence the name “Milonas”, which in Greek means “mill owner”.
They founded the Milonas restaurant in 1985 and still assist us today in taking care of the farm and growing the vegetables which we cook in the restaurant. One of our brothers – Alekos – operates the village supermarket/ butcher’s shop also called Milonas. Our other brother – Vangelis, who used to run the Cafe “To Steki” on the village square - joined the two of us – Giorgos and Manolis - here to serve you in our restaurant.
If you have not already found a place to stay in Kamilari, we can offer you different types of accommodation: check out the apartment of Giorgos. or the full house just upstairs.
We feel very attached to our village and to the Cretan way of life in general and we are always happy to share our culture and traditions with our guests, for example through our typical home cooking.
